Reflecting on the recent tragedy at Curt's Lanes and Dining, I've been thinking a lot about the sense of safety and community Curt Strom fostered in Bloomfield. It's truly devastating to realize that the place so many residents associated with joy and camaraderie became the site of such violence. I've been to Smalltown bowling alleys like Curt's myself, and they hold such a special place in their communities—places where kids have birthday parties, leagues form lifelong friendships, and families create memories. For so many, Curt's was more than just a business; it was a cornerstone of local life. My heart goes out to Curt's family and the Bloomfield community as they navigate this loss. I hope the coming memorial service can offer a measure of comfort to everyone mourning this incredible loss.
