Hey everyone,
I've been poring over the scant details in Stephen Penta's case, and something that caught my attention was the mention of him being stopped by law enforcement in Toronto before attempting to re-enter the U.S. What was he doing up there in Canada, and why exactly was he trying to return? The 1970s were a different time, but still, having a run-in with law enforcement in another country is unusual and could hold significant clues. It just seems like a vital piece of the puzzle that hasn't been fully explored publicly.
Anyone have any theories on this? Maybe there's someone out there with more knowledge about cross-border issues back then or even just familiar with the way these kinds of cases were handled. It's puzzling—what led him to Toronto, and why attempt to come back in such a manner that attracted police attention?
Appreciate anyone's thoughts on this. Let's keep pushing for more information to hopefully shed some light on this decades-old mystery.
