Hey everyone, I've been digging through some old missing persons cases and stumbled onto Dean Thomas Stone's case. Something odd I noticed was the big gap between when he was last seen in September 2001 and when his case was reported in April 2002. Does anyone have any thoughts on why there was such a long delay in reporting him missing? Was this a common situation back then in Hawaii, or is there something specific about Dean's background or circumstances that might explain it? Could it have been that friends or family thought he was just off-grid for a while? If anyone has insights into how cases like this were generally handled, especially during that time period, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts!
