I keep thinking about how involved Carol was in the community and how much she must have meant to the people around her. Playing saxophone for the Boothbay Community Band meant she shared her love for music with so many. You can almost feel the empty space she's left behind, not just in the band, but throughout Boothbay Harbor. A friend told me that her enthusiasm was infectious and you'd always see her at local events with that saxophone in hand, ready to bring people together through music. It's incredibly difficult to process how someone so full of life could be taken in such a horrific manner. My heart goes out to everyone who knew her, Eric, and Svend. We need to take this time to be there for each other and cherish the memories they left behind. ?

Hey everyone, I've been reading through the discussions about the Jorgensen tragedy, and something that's been on my mind is the handwritten note Svend left behind. It feels strange that he would take the time to address financial affairs and real estate, yet provide no insight into the reasons behind such a devastating act. I just can't help but wonder if this reflects a mindset where he believed he was "taking care" of things in his own way, even if it doesn't make any sense to us. I find it hard to wrap my head around it because from everything we hear about the Jorgensens, they seemed like a close-knit family with no visible cracks. It's deeply unsettling to think about what might have been going through his mind in those final moments. My heart goes out to their friends and family who are left picking up the pieces without any real answers. I hope they find some peace and healing in the community's support. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Has anyone else been to one of the vigils held for the Jorgensen family? I attended the one last week, and it was so moving to see our community come together in such a powerful way. You could really feel the love and support for the family. I spoke with a few people who knew Carol from the Boothbay Community Band, and they shared such wonderful stories about her. She truly brought joy and laughter wherever she went. I didn’t know Eric personally, but one of my neighbors did, and they mentioned how much he loved teaching and how his students adored him. It’s just so hard to understand how something like this could happen in such a close-knit family. I hope we can find some answers soon. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy. Let’s keep sharing their beautiful memories and supporting one another through this difficult time.
