It's really disturbing to think about how much anger and fear can drive people to such extreme actions. I keep going back to the fact that Ferguson was convinced Kennedy was a police informant. Even if it were true, it's gut-wrenching that this suspicion alone ended tragically for Kennedy and changed so many lives forever, including his family and Ferguson and Hansley themselves. You can't help but wonder if there were any signs leading up to this or if Kennedy ever knew he was in danger because of these rumors. Just imagining his family's pain and the questions they must have had breaks my heart. How do you ever make sense of something so senseless? It also seems like these perceptions of betrayal can escalate so rapidly into violence, especially when it involves suspects with prior animosities. I hope that those in Kennedy's life can find some peace and that this case continues to highlight the impact of unofficial labels like "informant" within certain circles. It shouldn't just be about the conviction; it's about ensuring it doesn't happen again. What are your thoughts?
