Hey everyone, I’ve been reading through the posts about Kelzie Caron and Pierre Langlois, and my heart goes out to their families. One thing I can't help but think about is the psychological aspect behind David Barnett's actions. During the trial, he mentioned that he did it out of loyalty to a friend who said they were threatened. I just can't wrap my head around how someone could commit such a violent act for the sake of loyalty. What kind of intense pressure might Barnett have been under to feel like this was his only option? I don't mean to excuse his behavior at all—what he did is absolutely unforgivable—but it makes me wonder about the influences and circumstances that lead people down such dark paths. How do friendships or obligations become so toxic that they override basic human decency? My thoughts are with everyone affected by this senseless tragedy. I hope with all the love and support, the families can find some measure of peace and healing. Curious to hear your thoughts on this angle.
