Holly Noel Schick-Lewis, 50, was found dead at her Darby, Montana home on January 6, 2014. A welfare check prompted deputies from the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office to enter the residence and discover that Holly had been shot and killed in what investigators described as a murder-suicide.
Authorities report that her husband, Joseph Matthew Lewis, shot Holly and then took his own life. Investigators stated no other individuals were sought in connection with the deaths, as evidence pointed to a domestic incident that escalated to its fatal conclusion. Friends said Holly had been living in fear and had been terrorized by her husband in the period before the killing.
This loss affected a small community where the violence came as a shock. If anyone knew Holly or has information about the events leading up to January 6, 2014, please come forward to share what you know.
