Roxanne Marie Morsette, 25, was found dead on January 27, 2016, in Fort Peck, Montana. A resident of the Fort Peck Reservation, she was described as warmhearted and just beginning to explore life. Her boyfriend, 23-year-old Delvin Red Eagle, initially reported her death as a suicide to tribal police, but investigators found the scene inconsistent with that account.

Supervisory criminal investigator Ken Trottier said the evidence at the home did not fit a suicide. Federal authorities later indicted Red Eagle in May 2016; he was arrested in June and charged with second-degree murder and use and discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence, with officials alleging he shot Morsette with a rifle. He pleaded not guilty after his arrest.

If anyone knew Roxanne or has information about what happened that night, please share what is known with investigators.
