Nine-year-old Greydun Flinn Stockinger, a White male, was fatally shot on August 18, 2016, while visiting a friend’s home in Belgrade, Montana. No adults were present in the house that day; Greydun sustained a fatal gunshot wound from a semi-automatic handgun and another young boy was in the home at the time. Greydun lived with his family elsewhere in Belgrade and attended local public schools.

The Belgrade Police Department and the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation and submitted evidence to the Montana State Forensic Science Division Laboratory. Authorities released few specifics, and initial reports stated no arrests had been made.

Did anyone in the community have contact with Greydun or the household he visited that morning who can shed light on what happened?
