Kaylin Verna Kesler Ray, 69, was found dead inside her Ravalli County home after deputies performed a welfare check on the evening of May 7, 2017. Investigators determined she had been shot and killed by her husband, 75-year-old Wesley Coffin, who then took his own life. Deputies arrived around 10 p.m. at a residence east of Corvallis, a few miles from Hamilton, and the scene was treated as a domestic homicide that left the community reeling.
With the suspected shooter deceased at the scene, no arrests were made and no additional suspects were identified, though investigators continued to piece together the final timeline. Does anyone in the area remember the Rays or have information that could clarify what led to this tragedy?
