On the morning of Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Three Forks, Montana, Brendan Patrick Estabrook, 32, was shot and killed along with his younger brother, Chase Estabrook. The brothers had been out that night and went to a gathering after the bars closed. An argument between the Estabrook brothers and 24-year-old Zachary Norman of Three Forks escalated from a verbal dispute into gunfire in the street. Officers responding around 3:30 a.m. found both brothers dead from gunshot wounds.
Police arrested Norman at his father’s house and recovered the weapon believed to have been used. He was charged with two counts of deliberate homicide and two counts of tampering with evidence and pleaded not guilty. At trial, witnesses described the fatal altercation; the jury convicted Norman of the deliberate homicide of Chase Estabrook but found him not guilty in the death of Brendan Patrick Estabrook.
If anyone knew Brendan, Chase, or saw what happened that night, please come forward with information.
