I’ve been combing through this case obsessively after stumbling upon it, and there’s something that’s been bothering me. Does anyone have any insight into why more attention wasn't given to the route between the apartment complex and the landfill where Basil was eventually found? I know it's been over three decades, but back then, was that path monitored with any traffic cameras or regular patrols? It feels like someone had to know that area well to transport a child without drawing suspicion. What was it about that location that made it the spot where Basil was found, and could it offer any clues about Jamal? The logistics of it are haunting, and I can't let go of the thought that understanding that route better might shine some light on the entire case—or at least provide some clue about Jamal.

I recently stumbled upon the case of Jamal Abdul'faruq and his brother Basil, and something that's been bugging me is the timeline of events leading up to their disappearance. The stepmother dropped them off at the apartment complex, but has anyone ever looked into whether anyone saw what happened between then and when their mother woke up? There must have been other residents or neighbors around that day. This was in broad daylight, right? It's just odd that no one else saw anything unusual. Maybe someone saw something that seemed insignificant at the time but could be important now? I wonder if any potential witnesses were ever revisited after Basil was found. I know it's been years, but cases have been cracked with less before. Thoughts, anyone?
