Was anyone else surprised that authorities decided not to prosecute Lewis Lent Jr. for Jamie Lusher's presumed murder after his confession, even though they had pretty solid details from him? I understand the challenges due to the lack of physical evidence, but I can't help but wonder if something more could be done to hold him accountable. It's hard to imagine the frustration the family must feel knowing Lent has wavered on his story, and might know more than what he's shared. Could his confession recantation be some twisted game for him? Maybe more pressure or an incentivized deal could prompt him to divulge something he’s hiding. It’s just unnerving that after so much time, Jamie's family is still seeking closure. Any thoughts or insights on this approach?

Hey guys, just wanted to share a thought about Jamie Lusher’s case. I’ve been looking into it, and something that really stands out to me is the waitress sighting at Friendly's. Two days after he disappeared, she reported seeing him. I keep thinking how this detail could’ve easily been overlooked if she hadn’t come forward. It's these small pieces of potential evidence that can sometimes change the course of an investigation, right? I wonder if anyone else that day at the restaurant might have seen something more that could’ve helped. It's frustrating considering how many years went by before Lent's confession, yet even that didn’t give the closure everyone hoped for. Does anyone else feel like there might be more witnesses from back then who just didn’t realize the importance of what they saw?
