I keep thinking about how eerie it must be for Matthew's family to know he was hidden away so close to home all that time. It makes me wonder about the layout of that apartment building and who had access to the attic. Was it an area that required a special key, or did many residents have a way to get in? It seems like such a weird place for someone to choose as a hiding spot, right under everyone's noses. My heart goes out to Matthew's family. I can't imagine the agony of being so close yet so far from finding him. I really hope that with modern technology, something will emerge to bring them the answers they've been waiting for so long. If anyone has insights into the building's layout or access back then, it could provide useful context.
I've been following Matthew Bishop's case for a while now, and something that's been on my mind is the location where his body was found. The idea that Matthew was hidden in the attic of the same building where he lived is particularly unnerving. It makes me think that the person responsible had to have some familiarity with the building, maybe even access that wouldn't raise suspicion.
Has anyone else considered this angle? I wonder if any neighbors or maintenance workers from back then were looked into thoroughly. It's been so long, and it's devastating for his family to have gone all these years without answers. I hope renewed interest in the case and advancements in technology might finally help bring closure. Sending love and strength to Matthew's loved ones and the Rutland community still affected by this tragedy.
