Hey everyone,
I’ve been reading up on the case of Promise Jalilla Stewart and her brothers, and something caught my attention. You know how sometimes non-custodial abductions can be more about evading the system rather than any immediate danger to the kids? I can't help but wonder about the mother’s background. Was she trying to escape a situation or convince herself that she was protecting them? Obviously, this doesn't justify the abduction, but it might offer some insight into the why. It’s just so difficult, especially considering how young Promise was when she went missing. Does anyone have experience with similar cases where the parent was found to have a rationale, however misguided, for taking the kids? What were the outcomes? It's just hard to imagine where they might be after all this time.
I was just revisiting the case of Promise Jalilla Stewart and her brothers, Power and Prestige. Something that's been puzzling me is why this case hasn't gotten more media coverage over the years. I understand there are many missing person cases out there, but the fact that three young children went missing all at once should have raised more alarms, right? I wonder if anyone has thoughts on why cases like this sometimes get overlooked or if there's a way we can push for more attention to help find these siblings. It just seems like it’s been far too quiet considering the circumstances.
