Hi everyone,
I've been following the case of Gary Larocque and Gunnar Watson, and something that's been on my mind is the community reaction in both Wheelock and Brownington. It's clear how tight-knit these rural communities are, and I can't help but feel for everyone involved. The loss of two community members in such a tragic manner must have been a profound shock to everyone who knew them.
I’m curious about how these towns are coping. Has there been any community gathering or memorial service to help everyone process and support each other? It's just so unsettling how events like these can ripple through small towns, leaving so many questions and grief in their wake.
Sending thoughts to the Watson family and to everyone affected. It must be incredibly difficult for them to not have definitive answers as to why this happened. If anyone has insights into how the community is honoring these men, please share.
Stay safe, everyone.
Does anyone else find it deeply unsettling that despite the conclusion of the investigation, we're still left with no clear motive for Gary Larocque’s actions? It’s hard to wrap my head around how someone could do something so devastating to someone they had known and worked with for years. Gunnar Watson had his whole life ahead of him, with a family who must be going through unimaginable pain right now. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to process everything without knowing the 'why'. Also, with this series of homicides happening in such a short span in rural Vermont, it just makes me wonder if there's more beneath the surface. What are your thoughts on this lack of motive? Is there anything in Larocque’s background that could hint at why he might have done this, or do you think it could remain one of those tragic mysteries? Sending strength to both families.
