I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact of Christopher Hale’s death on the Rutland community, especially regarding local safety. It's unsettling how such a tragedy can happen in what many consider a close-knit, safe place. I completely understand why residents might feel anxious right now. It's hard not to question the safety of your own surroundings when someone you know and respect is senselessly taken. I hope the community can rally together to support one another during this time. We all need each other, especially when trying to find the strength to move forward and help bring clarity and justice for Chris and his loved ones. Maybe we need more community meetings or a neighborhood watch to feel a bit more secure. Does anyone know if anything has been organized yet? Let's take care of each other out there.
