Reading about Manny and the life he led is truly moving. It’s such a loss for the community and especially for his family, who must be going through an incredibly difficult time. I can't help but think about the vibrant life he had—being a licensed pilot, restoring antique cars, and everything he accomplished in real estate and construction. It's rare to see someone so deeply involved and passionate about so many different things.
Given his background and the impact he seemed to have on those around him, it's hard to comprehend the tragedy that struck his family. Domestic violence is a serious issue, and this case is a chilling reminder of its devastating impact. My heart goes out to his children and grandson, Mitchell. Losing Manny in such a way must be overwhelming. I hope they find the strength and support they need to navigate this terrible loss.
Are there any community resources or support groups in Portsmouth for families affected by domestic violence? I think it would be immensely helpful for those left behind to have a space to share and find support during such a tumultuous time. Manny’s memory deserves to be honored not only by recognizing his accomplishments but also by addressing the issues that lead to such heartbreaking events.
