I've been thinking a lot about Gerald Taylor's case lately, especially since I live not too far from the area where everything happened on Douglas Avenue. It's been really unsettling to know that something so terrible occurred essentially in my neighborhood. I've heard from local friends that Gerald was pretty involved in the community, which makes all of this even more perplexing. He was known to be a helpful, kind person who always had a smile for everyone.
