Hey everyone, I've been following the Cheryl Smith case for a while now, and something that's stuck with me is the use of a ghost gun by Jack Doherty. It's chilling how these untraceable firearms seem to be popping up more and more in cases like this. I can't wrap my head around the fact that a weapon like that could be made or obtained so easily, and it ended up being used in such a tragic way. Cheryl Smith was simply at home, answering her door, and the next moment her life was brutally taken. It makes me think about how this technology is affecting our safety and how these weapons are slipping through the cracks of legal control. My heart goes out to Cheryl's family—no one should have to suffer such loss. I wonder what steps, if any, are being taken to crack down on the availability of ghost guns. It's just so unsettling to think about how this entire situation might have been different if that weapon wasn't in the mix. Would love to hear your thoughts on the ghost gun angle or if you've come across similar cases. Stay safe, everyone.
