I’ve been thinking about the security measures (or lack thereof) at the venue where this tragedy happened. It’s unsettling to imagine that someone could just walk in with a firearm unnoticed. It makes me wonder if events like weddings should have stricter security protocols in place, especially if the venue serves alcohol and emotions can run high. While nothing could bring back Donnie Perleberg or reverse the trauma Mary Seiler experienced, it might prevent future incidents if there were better screening processes or security checks. My heart goes out to Donnie's loved ones and everyone affected by this senseless act. What do you all think? Should these venues enhance their security measures, and if so, how?
