I've always been intrigued by the deeper psychological aspects of cases like that of Robert Ford. It's fascinating and incredibly sad to consider the emotional and mental struggles Ford might have endured after killing Jesse James. He was seen as a traitor by a large part of the public and even though some sought to paint him as a hero, it seems clear he fought a losing battle with his own conscience and societal judgement. Given his financial troubles and the scorn he faced, one has to wonder about the loneliness and isolation he experienced. It's difficult not to feel some sympathy for him despite his misdeeds, understanding the heavy burden he carried living under such infamy. Just a somber reminder of how living with the aftermath of a single decision can shape the entirety of one's life. Anyone else have thoughts on how society's perception might have contributed to his demise?
