I recently came across some information about Lois Jean Tatum's case from back in '77, and it's got me thinking about the unresolved aspects of it. Specifically, the fact that her home was ransacked during the incident suggests someone was desperately searching for something. What do you all think they could have been after? Money or valuables seem likely, but what if it was something more personal or incriminating? Given that her marriage was troubled, is it possible the person responsible was looking for something to use against her or someone else? It's so disturbing to think about how her life was cut short and how her family, especially her three children, were left to figure things out without any real answers. Anyone local remember any other theories that came up during the initial investigation? It's a shame the case still hasn't been solved after all these years.
