Just thinking about Cameron and how young he was makes this whole situation even more tragic. It's unbearably sad to see a community losing its youth like this. You always hope that these numbers will finally begin to drop in a significant way, but even a single loss is too many. I'm wondering if anyone has insights on the community efforts to better the relationship between residents and law enforcement. I've read that trust between police and the community can make a huge difference in solving cases and preventing further violence. If anyone in Birmingham has noticed any positive changes or new initiatives since 2007, I'd love to hear about them. Cameron, like every victim, deserves peace and justice. It's crucial to keep discussing and supporting ways to make our communities safer for everyone.
