Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the Teresa Wright case, and something that really stood out to me was how her case is wrapped up in this larger picture of violence in Birmingham during that time. It’s truly disturbing to think about 2009—a year when the city was grappling with so many homicides, including Teresa’s tragic end. What's particularly striking is that even though suspects were identified in a majority of the cases, that still left 19 unresolved by year-end. It makes me wonder how families like Teresa’s cope with not just the loss, but the uncertainty too. It's a reminder of how important it is that we look at these numbers, not just as statistics, but as lives that had hopes, dreams, and families who miss them dearly. Is there anyone here from Birmingham? How did the community respond back then, and have things changed much over the years? Any insight would be appreciated. Keeping Teresa and all the victims close in thought. ? Stay safe, everyone.
