I've been thinking a lot about the location of Antonio Boykin's murder and how it could have been such a significant factor in the case. King Street, from what I’ve read, is not far from downtown Selma, and it's unsettling to imagine a place that should feel like the safety of home being the scene of such violence. Living in an area where people know each other and still having such terrible events unfold in your neighborhood must be incredibly tough for the community. I wonder how the neighborhood has coped since the incident. Did they feel a sense of relief when Fuller was arrested and later convicted, or did it leave a lingering feeling of vulnerability? I'm curious to hear from anyone who might know the area or has experienced similar situations in their own communities. It's not just about the crime itself but the ripple effect it has on everyone around, and I truly feel for Antonio’s family and friends who must continue to endure his absence.
