Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the testimony - or lack thereof - that occurred in Demetrius McGhee's case. It's deeply disheartening to know that this tragedy happened in broad daylight with plenty of witnesses at the nearby playground, but not one of those witnesses stuck around to talk to the authorities before they arrived. I get it, though; there must have been chaos and fear, especially with children around. But it makes me wonder if any of those who left might still have vital information or even bits and pieces of details that could be crucial to cracking this case. It's frustrating that, despite all this time, Demetrius's family is still waiting for justice. I'm hoping that someone, anyone, who might have been there and seen something will feel moved to come forward now. The reward from CrimeStoppers could serve as an incentive, but I feel like it's more for bringing peace to his loved ones that someone should speak up. If you're out there and know anything, even if it feels small, please consider reaching out to the authorities. Keeping my fingers crossed for justice for Demetrius and strength for his family.
