I've been following Matthew Hamilton's case, and something that stands out to me is the missing paddle. As an experienced kayaker, he would know how vital it is, which makes its absence even more puzzling. Could it have been taken by currents if he got into trouble, or is there another explanation we might be overlooking? Has anyone seen movement data for tides at that time, or perhaps any reports on how objects drift in that area? It just seems strange that the kayak, phone, and bag were found, but not the paddle. Curious to hear your thoughts on this!
Just thinking about Matthew L. Hamilton's case again and something is bugging me. Has anyone talked about the significance of those two pings from his cell phone in the Lower Elwha River area? I mean, we're talking about a guy who knew the waters really well. Could he have tried to take a detour for some reason? Or maybe the currents pushed him off course? It just seems strange for someone experienced like him to have his last known activity in that direction. Plus, why was just the paddle missing? Seems odd, right? If anyone has more insights, especially from locals or kayakers familiar with those waters, it would be great to hear your thoughts!
