I’ve been thinking a lot about Rashawn Moultrie’s case, especially how the incident reflects on public safety in Montgomery. It’s deeply upsetting to see another life lost in a location already known for disturbances. I can't help but wonder what measures could be put in place to make these areas safer. It seems like more could be done to prevent these senseless acts of violence before they occur. Rashawn’s story touches on a larger issue that affects many communities, and my heart goes out to his family and friends who are undoubtedly dealing with immeasurable pain. They deserve justice, but they also deserve to live in a community where this kind of tragedy is not the norm. As residents, what can we do to advocate for better security and support systems in these high-risk areas? I hope we see positive changes as a result of increased awareness and community involvement following this tragedy.
