Did anyone else find it odd about the damp carpet and oil on the carport floor at A.W. Steed's house? Carpet being recently shampooed could be nothing, but paired with the oil spill seems really suspicious to me. It's like someone was trying to cover up some tracks or destroy evidence. Why would Carolyn go through the trouble of shampooing the carpet but leave an oil mess? Knowing that Gary found it in that state right after his dad disappeared makes me think twice about what might've actually gone down that night. Could the oil have been an attempt to erase something more sinister, or am I just reading too much into this? Would love to hear other thoughts on this detail!
