I was looking into the details of Bernd Phillippy's case again, and one thing that really stands out to me is his lack of a car. San Marcos isn’t exactly a place known for great public transport, which makes me wonder how he could have left so suddenly with no means of transportation. Could it be possible he hitched a ride with someone? Maybe someone that wasn't really trustworthy? I know a lot of folks have speculated about the timeline, but has anyone looked into whether there were any taxi or rideshare records from that evening, or any other local sightings? Just thinking that might be a lead that's worth exploring if it hasn't been already.
