I came across some discussions about Lee John Niemeyer's case, and something's been bugging me. I know his Alzheimer's might have made him disoriented, but I find it strange that after his vehicle was found near Highway 290 and Little York, there were zero signs of him around. With an area like that, you'd think someone would have spotted something—a scuffle, a personal belonging, anything. I've been wondering whether there were any reported sightings or tips from people living in that area back in 1990. It seems like the kind of place someone passing by might have noticed an older man walking or acting confused. I'm curious if those avenues were thoroughly explored by the investigators at the time. Any locals from back then with memories to share?

Hey everyone. I’ve been diving into the case of Lee John Niemeyer, and one detail I can’t shake off is how his vehicle was found. It was abandoned near Highway 290 and Little York just a week after he went missing. What could have led him to that spot? Was it a place he frequented or completely out of his regular route? Given his Alzheimer’s, it’s possible he got disoriented, but what if someone deliberately left it there to throw off search efforts? If anyone familiar with the area back in 1990 can chime in on any relevant hotspots or developments around there at the time, it might help piece together his last known moves. Thoughts? ?
