Has anyone else seen Deavon's story and wondered how they expect him to make it to Philadelphia without getting noticed? I mean, it's a big city, sure, but a 14-year-old traveling alone should stand out, right? Especially if he’s on public transport. Yet, here we are, over a year later, and no confirmed sightings. It’s been tough following this case, especially knowing he left willingly. The fact he took the time to write to his adoptive mom shows some level of maturity and care, right? It’s reassuring in a way but also makes me think he had a plan. Thoughts?
Hey everyone, I've been following Deavon Squire's case closely since it was posted here. One thing that really strikes me is the emotional depth in the letter he left behind. It seems like he's caught in such a difficult place, trying to reconcile his past with his present. I can't help but wonder if there are any outreach efforts happening to maybe connect with teens who might be in a similar situation, feeling like they need to run to find a sense of belonging. There's got to be more we can do as a community to support and possibly prevent these situations. Is there a volunteer group doing something like this in Philadelphia or Jenkintown? I think it could help other kids as well. Thoughts?
Has anyone been able to dig up more info on any public records or social media that might give a clue about Deavon’s biological mom’s current whereabouts? It seems like that’s a major missing piece in finding him. If she hasn’t kept a low profile, there might be some breadcrumbs on platforms like Facebook or Instagram, maybe even an old MySpace. I’m just speculating, but if Deavon was trying to reconnect with her, perhaps tracking down her online presence could lead us somewhere. Just throwing ideas out there in hopes of sparking something new in our search efforts. Thoughts?
