Hey everyone, I've been diving deep into the Francis D. Crownover case from '87, and something's been bugging me. I remember hearing about a similar situation where someone vanished under mysterious circumstances but left behind a note saying they'd be in touch. It makes me wonder—what's the likelihood that note was genuine? Did Crownover write it, or could someone have planted it to delay any immediate concern? I mean, she left all her stuff behind except maybe a couple hundred bucks. It just seems odd to me that she would plan to be gone without taking anything else. Has anyone come across similar cases where the authenticity of a note was questioned or where it was possibly used as a red herring? I'd love to hear your thoughts or any similar cases you've come across.
I've been following the case of Francis D. Crownover, and something about the timeline intrigues me. Why did Joseph Duenas wait until December 4 to report her missing? That's over a week since she disappeared. I get that sometimes people need space, but considering she left all her belongings behind, wouldn't that be immediate cause for concern? Especially since she didn't call as promised. I'm curious if anyone has insights into why there might have been such a delay, or if it's just adding to the mystery of her disappearance. It feels like a crucial period where a lot could've been uncovered if the authorities had been notified sooner. Any thoughts on this?
