Hey everyone, I've been following the Elbert Clyde Wilson case and recently read about the backlog of homicide cases in Tallapoosa County. It's really unsettling to think that Elbert's family has had to wait such a long time for justice, especially given the circumstances. With only one murder trial being heard per term due to the sheer volume of cases, it's clear that the justice system is under a lot of strain. I can't even begin to imagine how stressful this must be for everyone who knew and loved Elbert, having to continuously live in limbo with no closure. It makes me wonder about the resources available to speed up these processes and what can be done to help families like his. Does anyone know if there have been efforts to address this backlog, or if it's common in other counties, too? Sending thoughts to Elbert’s family as they navigate through this challenging time.

Has anyone else been following the updates on Franklin Price Jr.'s trial? It's concerning how slow the judicial process is sometimes, especially with so many cases piling up in Tallapoosa County. I can't imagine what Wilson's family must be going through, waiting for justice for their loved one. It must be agonizing having to relive everything with every new hearing date that gets pushed back. I hope the courts can clear through the backlog soon to give them the closure they deserve. Anyone have any insights into why there are such delays with these types of cases?

Has anyone else been following the backlog of homicide cases in Tallapoosa County? It's really concerning to think about how delays like this might affect not just the legal process, but also the families involved. With Franklin Price Jr.'s case still awaiting trial, I can't help but think about Elbert Clyde Wilson’s family and how difficult it must be to have to wait for justice and some semblance of closure. It's already been tough enough for them with the loss, and then they have to deal with the added stress of the legal system’s pace. I hope they find support and strength during such a trying time. Anyone else have thoughts or insights about how this backlog could potentially impact the outcome or future proceedings?
