I recently came across a detail in the Eloise Way case that has me scratching my head. Has anyone else thought about the odd timing of her engagement? From what I understand, she was engaged to a man from Brunswick, Georgia, but it seems like nobody has really looked into his whereabouts or actions on the day of her disappearance. I know it’s been decades, and maybe it’s been cleared up behind the scenes, but wouldn’t it make sense to find out if he was in Charleston that day? If not, did anyone check his alibi thoroughly? Given that she never had a driver’s license and her dislike of being out after dark, it makes you wonder how often and under what circumstances they even met. Just a thought—could her personal life have been more complicated than it seemed? Curious to know what others think!

Has anyone looked into the bank security measures of the 1960s? I find it curious that Eloise never made it to either of the banks that were only four blocks away. Back then, I can imagine it was a totally different world in terms of security and tracking transactions. I’m wondering if anyone knows what kind of protocols were in place to ensure the safe transfer of such large sums of money. Could it have been a planned robbery, possibly involving someone familiar with her routine? It’s strange that despite the potential financial motive, there hasn’t been much talk about possible inside jobs. Perhaps a lack of solid leads or evidence makes this part of the mystery so elusive? I'd be interested to hear others' thoughts on how this aspect of her case might fit into the bigger picture.
