Has anyone else been following the case of Richard Edward McCrary? I've been diving into some old articles and it's so puzzling to me how his nephew ended up charged but then the charges got dropped. It makes me wonder what kind of evidence they even had against him in the first place, and how it just disappeared or fell apart so fast. Given he was on medication and might have been disoriented, could it all have been a tragic accident and the nephew was just an unfortunate scapegoat due to lack of other leads? It's just so strange. I also wonder if there were people in the community who might have seen something but didn’t come forward. It feels like such a forgotten case but there might still be someone around Sumter County with a piece of the puzzle. What do you all think? ?
