Has anyone else really looked into the timeline around when Sheryl's family moved away from Picher after her disappearance? It seems odd to me that just days after she vanished, the family packed up and left town. I know they were new to the area and Sheryl wasn't a fan of the town, but wouldn't most people want to stay put to try and find any clues? I'm not suggesting anything sinister on the parents' part, but could their quick departure have impacted the direction of the investigation or public interest at the time? If they left so quickly, maybe crucial information or witnesses were missed because they weren’t around to keep the case in the spotlight. Just a thought! Anyone have insights or local knowledge about how common it was for families to move around so quickly back then?

Hello everyone, I've been digging around the details of Sheryl Denise Taylor's disappearance, and there's an aspect I haven't seen much discussion on — the timing of her move to Picher. It's interesting that Sheryl's family had just relocated, and she reportedly didn't like the new town. It must have been such a difficult adjustment for a twelve-year-old. The town was not only new but also had a troubled reputation, especially being in the vicinity of those dangerous abandoned mining areas. Her family's quick move away from Picher shortly after she vanished is curious. Of course, any family would need to continue with their lives, but it does raise questions about what prompted such a rapid decision. Could there have been something specific about Picher or the events leading up to her disappearance that made them want to leave quickly? I think exploring the family's perspective during that transition time, particularly from the old town to the new one, might provide some new insights. Anyone else have any thoughts or additional information on this angle?
