Hey everyone, I've been following the discussion here about LaBrandon Lamar Herron's tragic passing in 2016, and I was moved to share something that I haven't seen many talk about. During his funeral at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, I heard from a family member that LaBrandon was an amazing dancer. Apparently, he brought so much joy to local events and was always the first one on the dance floor. You could literally see everyone’s faces light up whenever he showed off his moves. It’s incredible to think how such small joyful moments made him such a cherished part of his community.
It's heartbreaking that his light was dimmed so soon. With the ongoing gun violence issue plaguing Alexander City, I can't help but wonder if more community-focused programs could have made a difference, maybe something to engage the youth and honor those like LaBrandon who were taken too soon. It might not solve all the problems, but offering a positive outlet could be a step in the right direction. What do you guys think? Would love to hear more thoughts on how we can keep his spirit alive and help others find a safer path.
