Did anyone else read about the spatial disorientation and pilot fatigue in the NTSB report? It's so baffling that even experienced pilots can fall victim to such issues. I can't imagine the kind of pressure John Fleming was under trying to navigate at night over Lake Erie after being awake for 17 hours. It makes me wonder about the regulations surrounding pilot rest periods on small, private flights. Do they even exist? I've read about commercial pilots having strict rules but I'm curious if there's something similar for private pilots. It’s such a tragic reminder of how everything can go wrong in an instant due to fatigue. Does anyone know if there have been changes in any regulations after this incident to prevent similar tragedies?
