Does anyone else find it interesting how this all came to a head with the letter from the Social Security Administration? It's like the perfect storm that unraveled the whole story. If they hadn’t sent that letter needing a meeting with Dunson, how long could Gary Adams have kept this up? It's frustrating to think that Dunson might have been gone for over a decade before anyone looked into it. The fact that Gary's own son didn’t even know about his grandfather just raises so many questions about the family dynamics here. It's just a surreal situation all around. Makes me wonder if we'll ever find out what really happened to Dunson. Any thoughts on where we think this case could still go?
I've been digging into the Walter Dunson case from Cincinnati, and something intriguing stands out to me - that supposed sighting at Findlay Market. There's this one detail the beauty supply clerk mentioned: Dunson bought a lottery ticket. Why would someone who's supposedly been missing for years show up out of the blue to buy a ticket? Maybe the guy they saw wasn't Dunson at all, but someone trying to impersonate him briefly. Or perhaps it was just a mistaken identity altogether.
The whole scene at the market seems a bit off to me. If Adams was using this sighting to bolster his story, it makes me wonder if there was ever any plan to actually make Dunson "reappear." It's an odd and isolated detail in an otherwise suspiciously empty narrative. Anyone else think this might have been a deliberate red herring?
