It's really unsettling how many young lives were lost in the Birmingham District around that time. Anshelya Williams was so young and had her entire life ahead of her. I can't even begin to imagine what her family is going through after losing her in such a senseless act of violence. It makes me wonder what could have been done to prevent this tragedy and others like it in the area. It seems like these communities are desperately in need of resources for conflict resolution and support to curb this cycle of violence. My heart goes out to Anshelya's loved ones, and I truly hope they find some peace amidst all of this chaos.
