I was going through some older missing persons cases and came across David Ristovski's. What really stuck out to me was how his trail just vanished at Steins Pass. It seems like such an unusual place for a trail to go cold, especially with his background of paranoid schizophrenia. I'm curious if anyone knows if the railroad workers or locals around Lordsburg were ever extensively interviewed or if there were comprehensive searches done in the vicinity of those tracks. I also wonder about the personal belongings they found. Eight miles north of where he was last seen is quite far – I keep thinking that someone must have seen something. The area seems desolate, but with those tracks being active, it feels like there could be missing pieces here. Does anyone have insights into whether any transient activity or railroad crew schedules were looked into following his disappearance? I feel like these could be crucial in the investigation.
