Has anyone else been following the impact of community violence initiatives in Montgomery after the tragic events of 2017? I’ve been thinking a lot about how Ann Rudolph’s murder and others that year seemed to really wake the city up to the dangers that had been brewing for years. I can't even imagine what her family has been through, losing her like that. In light of her case, I've read that the local government started to implement some new programs to try and curb gun violence. I’m curious if anyone knows more about how those have been working? Have they made any tangible difference over the past few years? It’s just devastating that people like Ann had to lose their lives for a real push for change to even start. I'm hoping insights from residents might shed some light on whether things have genuinely improved or if more needs to be done.
