Has anyone else noticed how unique Henry Young's car was? That dark blue '76 Ford Maverick with the white top and a mismatched yellow fender must have been quite the sight back then. You'd think it would have drawn more attention, right? It's baffling that it took over a month to find it near Friars Point, especially given how close it was to the Mississippi River. How could a car like that go unnoticed for so long, especially in such a small area like Jonestown? The grass growing around it makes me wonder if it was parked there the whole time, but why didn't anyone spot it earlier? So many questions about how it went unnoticed—and if we could have found it sooner, maybe we'd know more about what really happened to "Sug."
Hey everyone, I came across this odd detail in the Henry Young case that I hadn't really thought about before. Does anyone else find it strange that the 17-year-old confessed that the murder happened outside the Silver Saver grocery store, in a relatively public place, yet there were no eyewitnesses or reports of a disturbance? Considering it’s a store, you'd think someone might have noticed something suspicious happening. And given the small-town nature of Tutwiler, it seems like folks would have at least noticed two teens hanging around with an elderly man. I wonder if this detail was ever further investigated or if there was any pressure on the girl during her confession. It's so frustrating that there keeps being bits and pieces that don't align with the outcome of this case. Would love to hear what others think about this angle.
