Hey everyone, I came across the case of Jonathan Lopez Perez and can't stop thinking about it. What puzzles me is Horlandina's aunt waiting months before reporting them missing. I get that maybe she didn't know the process, but isn’t that time crucial in searching for a missing person, especially a baby? The delay could have given them a head start if they were moving from place to place. I'm also curious if her sponsor role affects how she perceived her responsibility to report this or if she felt restricted in any way. Does anyone have more information on how that works? It just makes me hope there’s more outreach or info available for sponsors to know what steps to take in cases like this. Thoughts?
Hey everyone,
I was reading about Jonathan Lopez Perez and his mom, Horlandina, and I noticed something that's been bothering me. Why do you think it took Horlandina's aunt so long to report them missing? It seems strange, especially considering the situation they were in. Do you guys think it was just a lack of understanding, or could there be more to it? I know cultural differences and fear of authority can impact reporting, but several months is a long time, especially for a missing child. I'm worried about the potential for trafficking or someone manipulating the situation. It just doesn’t sit right with me. What do you all think? Any thoughts or similar cases where family delay might have impacted the investigation?
