Has anyone here hiked in Granite Basin around the Metate trailhead? I'm really curious about how challenging those trails are. With Jeffrey Stambaugh missing, I've been thinking about the kind of terrain he's up against and what obstacles search teams might be facing. Some locals say the area is notorious for its tough terrain and dense brush... It's easy to get turned around if you don't know where you're going. Could there be sections of the trail that are less explored? I feel like someone with Jeff's experience might have taken a more difficult or less obvious route. If you or anyone you know has insights into those trails, it might help in understanding what happened. Let's hope any new hikers this weekend stay extra alert—every piece of information could bring us closer to finding him. Stay safe out there!

I just stumbled across something interesting while looking into Jeffrey Stambaugh's case. People are talking a lot about his hiking habits, but has anyone discussed the specific trails he preferred or had explored before in that area? I wonder if he might have been drawn off his usual path due to curiosity about a new trail or sight. If he's an experienced hiker, he might have been comfortable exploring areas that others might find challenging. I hope the search teams have some local hikers onboard who know those trails well. Sometimes familiarity can lead to shortcuts or spots often overlooked. Could be worth checking into places that aren’t the obvious, well-trodden paths. Anyone else with thoughts on this?
