Whenever I dig into Zeta D. Gordon's disappearance, I always circle back to the mysterious sightings. It's perplexing how there could have been around ten unconfirmed reports of Zeta being spotted around town after that night in 1992. Some sightings were even from people who knew her well! I can't help but wonder if these reports actually held some truth or if they were cases of mistaken identity. If Zeta really was seen around Atchison County, where could she have gone from there? I also find it odd that despite these potential sightings, the trail seems to have gone entirely cold. Could she have been in distress and trying to reach out to familiar faces, only to have something go wrong? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this angle.
Has anyone else been puzzled by the condition of Zeta Gordon's car when it was found? I find it odd that her white Chrysler LeBaron was left with the convertible top down and the keys in the ignition. It feels staged to me, but what was the intention behind leaving the radio on and the purse and suitcase in plain sight? That abandoned farmhouse lot must have been an eerie place, especially since the car was basically saying "come check here." Did someone want it to be found? It’s peculiar. Maybe someone local at the time can shed some light on whether that lot was known for anything suspicious prior to her car being found there. What if the car wasn't moved there until later? Was that area notorious for anything at the time? There's just something strange about it that I can't quite shake off. Anyone know more about that spot or even the farmhouse itself?
