Has anyone here considered the significance of Mattie Redmond wearing her "Sunday coat" when she vanished? It’s been on my mind lately, and it seems like it could be an important detail in her case. Why would she choose that particular coat over her usual one, especially when leaving behind all her essentials, like her insulin and glasses? Could it be a sign that she was planning to attend some unplanned event or meeting, possibly related to her faith or church activities, given her active role at Watkins Temple? Or maybe it was just a comfort thing? I'm curious if anyone has come across similar situations in other missing persons cases where choice of clothing told us something about the person's intentions or state of mind before they vanished. Plus, the fact that she expressed her soul being troubled makes me think there could be more to why she specifically wore that coat. Thoughts?
Has anyone else noticed how odd it is that Mattie B. Redmond chose to wear her "Sunday coat" instead of her usual outerwear when she disappeared? It seems like an intentional decision. I'd love to hear why people think she might have done that. Did she plan on meeting someone important to her and wanted to look her best, or could the coat have held some significance for her? The fact she left her glasses and essentials behind makes it even more baffling. Could this allude to her state of mind being impaired from her medical condition, or was this linked to the "troubled soul" she mentioned to her husband? It just feels like a strange, overlooked clue that could fit into the bigger puzzle of her case. Thoughts?
