I've been following the Zachary Rodriguez case for a while, and something's been bugging me about that Tucson incident in '89 where Rolando was arrested. Is anyone else curious about how no one managed to keep tabs on him after discovering his real identity through fingerprints? I get that he was released before the check came through, but you'd think there'd be a red alert or something on him considering the felony warrant and all.
And then, the fact they believed Zachary was using the name 'Marcos'... I've been trying to piece together any connections. Does anyone know if there was any deep dive into local records back then under that name? Like maybe school enrollments or other places where a kid around Zachary's age would be?
This case really highlights some of the issues with bureaucratic slip-ups, but it makes me hopeful that someone, somewhere, can still connect the dots. It's like a gut feeling that both Rolando and Zachary might have crossed paths with authorities more than we know, but the system just failed to flag them on time. Would love to hear your thoughts, folks!
